A tiny bit of concealer is the ultimate no-makeup makeup trick to wear much less makeup and look way fresher, especially in the Zoom age we are living right now where getting ready means a quick touch-up and jump into the home desk. The problem with concealer, in general, is the “bit” part: Whether it’s a blemish or dark circles, you only need concealer on that particular spot to make your skin look instantly clearer, so the natural freshness and glow of real skin become the focus.

Now, how about if we can get a fabulous concealer that actually works and the price tag only is $10.80? I know it might sounds too good to be true, but the cult skincare brand The Ordinary, just launched a high coverage, semi-matte finish with 36 colours in a range of undertones promising a high pigment (as the name suggests).
The Product | The Ordinary Concealer
The small tube with a little nozzle applicator allows you to dot the product directly onto your face, so you’ll need to blend before with a brush or sponge, however (I personally like to apply deciem concealer with my clean fingertips as I find this method gives a more natural look) it melts into the skin with ease, creating a full coverage yet natural finish.
One of the things I found brilliant about the range is that they are divided into four categories:
- 1 (fair)
- 2 (medium)
- 3 (dark/deep)
- 4 (deeper)
The best part? From there, you can classify them by undertone:
- Cool tones: P (pink) and R (red)
- Neutral undertone: N (Neutral)
- Warm: Y (yellow)
Now that we buy pretty much everything online, this makes it much easier to find the right tone for you — Also, you don’t need to use too much product; as a little goes a long way —
The Review | The Ordinary High Coverage Concealer
I was genuinely excited to give this a twirl when I find out the Ordinary was dropping concealers. I probably use concealer most of the days rather than foundation as I like a very dewy look — however, I like to cover my unwanted post-inflammatory-hyperpigmentation — The product itself is so thick but buff out like a dream, plus it doesn’t crease or budge during the day.
How to Apply collab concealer
Put the ordinary concealer only on the spot you want to cover. Not around the area, just where you see darkness, redness, inflammation, scars, etc…
With your finger, pat the concealer. Super-lightly, over and over. Pat, don’t rub. It will seem like it’s not going to blend, but it will.
All of a sudden, it will be blended perfectly. The offending area will be complete coverage because this stuff is seriously full coverage, and the rest of your gorgeous, glowing skin will take center stage.
The bad side? The ordinary concealer tube is not too glamourous and relatively small so if you use it every day, you probably will get through it fairly quickly; however, with the great finish and price tag, I’m sold.
