Negin Mirsalehi is synonymous of hair goals. Her abundance of voluminous curl and thick healthy hair doesn’t get unnoticed. In fact, the beauty, fashion and hair influencer with more than 6M+ followers to date decided to launch in 2015 her own honey-infused hair care brand called Gisou, championing sustainable bee-sourced ingredients.
From growing up in her family’s Mirsalehi Bee Garden to working with ingredients from her father’s hives, Negin Mirsalehi’s knowledge of beekeeping and honey-based haircare stems from a passion deeply rooted in her Middle Eastern heritage. She comes from a six generation-heritage in beekeeping — her father was taught by her grandfather, and so on —.
After receiving thousands of inquiries about her shiny, voluminous curls via her online platforms, she started the brand. Negin Mirsalehi decided to share with her audience her homemade haircare secret formulated by her mother — hairdresser by trade— in the family kitchen using the key ingredient bee garden honey. Nowadays, the homemade hair oil that she used to put on her hair when she was a little kid is now Gisou honey infused hair oil, the brand hero product and best seller with more than thousands of online reviews.

The Review
First things first… As soon as the box landed on my desk, the luxe presentation of the Gisou honey infused hair oil caught my attention. It was not just because of its stunning glass and gold packaging but also because of its delicate floral smell, so I decided to take it straight to my beauty shelf for a trial.
After using the hair oil for two weeks, mainly for styling through my ends, I noticed the shinny yet not greasy look, plus the compliments started to roll out. The reason why? My hair looks more healthy, particular on my ends. I love that the hair oil is very lightweight and doesn’t weigh down when styling or leave any greasy look or sensation.
I only apply two drops, and that’s enough. I’ve tried to apply more than two drops; however, I don’t recommend it if you are looking just for a styling purpose. In case you want deep nourishing treatment, I’ve tried two full pipettes onto my hair mask and left it for two hours or so. The results? A very healthy and nourishing hair with a natural shine and divine smell.
Now the big question is. Does Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil worth the hype and the price tag?
Yes, if you are looking for a multipurpose hair product that leaves your hair smooth, shiny and healthy. There are other great on a budget options in the market nowadays; however, if you want to treat yourself, perhaps the honey-infused hair is a great excuse during the festive season?
You can get it now exclusive at Mecca for $124, 100mL
