The Review: Oral-B iO 9 Series Electric Toothbrush
I’ve been using regular toothbrushes for more than a decade, and even my family and partner are part of the electric toothbrush team; the reality is that, for some reason, I wasn’t really intrigued to make the switch. However, when my PR’s friends reached out to me to send me the $700 toothbrush, I couldn’t resist and needed to check if it was actually worth the dollars.
When the boujee toothbrush landed on my desk, all I could instantly detect was the top tech behind the toothbrush. I felt like I was unpacking the new iPhone instead of a toothbrush. From 3D teeth tracking with artificial intelligence, smart pressure sensors to magnetic charging systems, visual timers, and interactive colour displays, the new Oral-b rechargeable toothbrush had way more to offer than I ever thought.
I started by pressing the on/off button and followed the interactive display instructions to get started. Then I chose the brushing mode I wanted to get:
- Daily clean
- Sensitive
- Gum Care
- Whiten
- Intense
- Super sensitive
- Tongue clean
I’m pretty obsessed with white teeth, so whitening was definitely my first option; however, during this trial period, I’ve been testing the clean, sensitive and extra-sensitive modes daily. Can I notice the difference between modes? Not really, but I hope my teeth do.
But what I can say after making the switch from my $8 toothbrush to Oral-B iO 9 Series Rechargeable Toothbrush is that my teeth feel almost like I had a dentist appointment every day (Or when I’m not in a rush and actually achieve the two minutes recommended brushing)
I love that my teeth look clean, my breath feels fresher for longer, and I think the pricey brush is making a difference in my oral health. The best part? After brushing, the display gives you feedback based on your brushing time.
Does it worth your hard-earned $? Well.. it depends on how serious you take your oral health; for someone like me that needs a visit to the dentist quite regularly due to the – Not great quality of my teeth – It is definitely worth it. Plus, I suddenly realised that my mouth was missing out, and thanks to this fancy toothbrush, I will save some dollars next time I need to visit my lovely dentist.
