Sometimes, after a couple of days of back-to-back meetings, beauty events and work, I start to look — Not too fresh — , my under eyes looks darker, and yes, my hair gets greasier even though I always tried to win an extra clean hair day with my favourite dry shampoo. Then, when the time hits the clock, it’s time for the hair ritual, Aka, washing my extra long hair —Which takes about 45 minutes of my time—. Maybe it’s time to start to consider a bob haircut? Probably, but in the meanwhile, I’ve been trailing the cult hair scrub, Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub, and it’s without a doubt a lifesaver for my long greasy hair.

Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub Review
Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub is this kind of beauty product that every colleague has raved about; I kept hearing and reading about it, so as a good beauty editor, I decided to try it last year and my god, I felt I was living under a rock.
I have very long hair with greasy roots and dry ends. I only go to the salon for balayage once a year as I found that is the only way to keep my hair with minimal damage but still looking fresh. Haircare is really important to me, and I try anything to keep my hair shiny and healthy. From at-home coconut oil masks to boujie shampoos and hair conditioners, so obviously, when I finally received the Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub, I jumped in the shower to put it on a test.
As soon as you open the tub, you can see and feel a very consistent paste packed with big flakes of sea salt, it does feel quite tick at the beginning, but as soon as you massage the hair scrub into your scalp, it quickly dissolves as you lather.
I found this hair scrub the best option if you want to really detox your scalp and feel fresh hair again. I usually add many products to my hair —From hair spray, dry shampoos, serums, you name it — so It’s really important to remove all the dirt and rebalance the scalp in order to have healthy, shiny and fresh hair.
I know $71.00 for 250ml is quite a lot for an exfoliating treatment , but if you ask me, I think it’s worth every penny. First, because a little goes a long way, you only need to use a small amount on the hairline and roots to clean the hair, so one tub can last for a long time if you use it once a week.
The brand says that you can use it as a shampoo, but I prefer to use it as a pre-shampoo to cleanse dead skin and product build-up; then, I like to wash my hair with a hydrating shampoo, and finally, I leave a hair mask on and wait for 5 to 10 minutes.
The results? Since I use Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub, I can see how voluminous, fresher and healthy my hair looks after washing it. I really think I can’t come back to only shampoo and hair treatment without my massage with this scalp scrub. Even though there are other, more affordable options in the market, I think I will always come back to this one, which actually is about to finish, so I may add to card a new tub asap.
