3. Wick
Oftentimes crafted with metal cores, or with metal fibers woven into the wick itself, this vital part of the candle can actually contribute to air polluting our sacred rooms. What are non-toxic candles made of?
Due to vegetable soy wax being 100% natural – some frosting (white-looking coating) may occur on your candle – which is the natural wax re-crystallizing. This does not affect the performance of your candle and is not a fault in the product. To minimise frosting and sweating, Neesha recommends to keep your candle out of direct sunlight/UV and keep in a cool, dry area away from drafts.
How to make the best use of your decorative candles?
Although NKDLY candles are designed as mainly decor pieces, you should use a candle plate or trinket dish underneath in case of burning, to catch the melting wax.
In general, the NKDLY range has a 1 hour burn time on average although it’s recommended to burn them in 10-15 minute intervals to avoid large wax spills. In case you notice “sweating” (small droplets) occurring on your candle – simply dab with a tissue or paper towel to remove any residue.
