6 Fashion Trends In 2023
1. Reborn Boho
In 2023, we can expect to see more bohemian inspired looks through the reborn boho fashion trend.
The style includes patchwork dresses, repurposed embellishments and trims, voluminous blouses and resort sets in foulard prints. It’s a new way of doing maximalism through a more earthy, nature-loving lens.
2. Natural prints and textures
The current obsession with nature in fashion shows no sign of slowing down, but for 2023 it will be more joyful and vibrant!
This will include designs that are inspired by flowers and plants, from silhouettes to embroidery and prints. We can also expect more diversity in textures and large-scale patterns.
3. Maximalist Outdoors
Outdoor living continues to impact fashion. Take the successful Gucci x The North Face collection for example. Next year, it’ll be even more maximalist.
You can get this look by styling tech-led nylon jackets, shorts and trousers with crochet, rustic fine knits and socks, and vacation-inspired jewellery. Make your socks more striking with personalised designs that are achievable in custom sock lab. It’s also fun to play with proportions, such as pairing oversized tops with short shorts, or fitted tops with baggy bottoms.
4. Hyper Geos
Classic patterns like stripes, polka dots and checks will be on trend next year but in supersized proportions and bright accents.
The look is bold and vibrant, yet, the familiarity and graphic element of the core motifs keeps it clean and contemporary. If you want to go bold you can do this by clashing patterns, or dial it back and do a patterned top with jeans.

5. Eco Fashion
Since the pandemic more consumers are eco-conscious, and less likely to purchase items that will only be worn once.
Klarna’s research revealed that 70% of Aussies either actively choose to shop for sustainable fashion or would like to. Gen Z are the most likely to shop sustainably (51%), followed by Millennials (44%).
We can expect this trend to continue next year, with more people aligning to brands that share their values, as well as being open to buying second hand clothing from the likes of Facebook marketplace or platforms like Vestiaire Collective.
6. Bright Colours
According to Klarna, Aussies are most looking forward to wearing bright colours (35%) this summer.
This will include dopamine brights and rich pastels such as lavender, cobalt and apricot paired with black and summer darks such as deep red.
We’ll also see bright colours come across into beauty, so expect lots of bold and striking eye shadows in the new year!
