E.S.K – Enlighten
Pigmentation and dark spots have been on my radar for a while, as you might know by this point I suffer from severe acne that unfortunately end up with scars and pigmentation all over my face, in particular around the area of my cheeks. So anytime a product land on my desk promising to fade out redness and enlighten my skin, that’s a no-brainer for me.
I’m now on that point where a glowing and most important a clean complexion is all for me, and if you’re on the same journey as me, you’ll know that Niacinamide should be one of your BFF’s that accompanied by 4-n-Butylresorcinol (4nB), pronounced “4-n-beautal-resorcinol” will my friend set the tone up for a brighter, more even skin tone.
The latter is considered one of the most exciting depigmenting ingredients to emerge in modern skincare. Operating similarly to hydroquinone, a skin lightening agent, 4nB inhibits tyrosinase activity; a copper-based skin enzyme involved in the creation of melanin. Let me also tell you that if you have sensitive skin and are reluctant to put on your face active ingredients that will dry out your already compromised skin barrier the combo 4nB + Vit B3 will do exactly the opposite thanks to the powerful effects of B3 in improving the skin barrier function.
Amly – Digital Detox
Working from home has its broad perks of course, but it also triggers quite a few bad things, one of all is digital pollution and blue screen aggressors. I’m sure most of you performing a WFH routine these days feel tired and start procrastinating after a few hours in front of the computer and that’s completely normal as you have to be aware that your brain can’t be 100% focus on long periods of time day after day.
I’m a person that quickly gets lost on her thoughts and have been trying to amend that throughout the year, and I have to say that this little boost of botanical wonders has been doing its job. I’m still impressed with how powerful essential oils can be for ourselves, not only for our face and body but also for our mind and overall wellness.
What’s inside? Energy-cleansing Frankincense, purifying Magnesium Salts and powerful Marine Actives combined with Ginseng to aid concentration and Ylang Ylang to de-stress. Could we be asking for something else? Oh, almost forget it but I also spray it around my desk to feel in a proper de-stress bubble!
Youngblood – Natural Loose Mineral Foundation
When I look back to my makeup routine, these past weeks what I see is a natural complexion without compromising my skin. When summer hits and the warmer days are here I tend to give my skin some air of full-coverage creamy foundations as I tend to bronze very easily so all I normally need will be little touches here and there of bronzer and highlighter.
However, this summer hasn’t been quite started yet to say it somehow so I’ve been loving the finish the Youngblood mineral foundation gives to my skin (I have the shade Tawnee which is perfect if you have a medium to dark skin tone).
I took it with me for my Chrissy holiday trip and couldn’t stop using it, it’s perfect on the go as it comes with a super handy packaging that can fit anywhere, you can also wear it as a foundation but also as a concealer, plus its formulated with 100% pure minerals that dramatically improves the look of any complexion, creating a light, sheer coverage for your skin that can be applied in seconds.

Glasshouse Fragrances, Gingerbread House Candle
The best smelling candle? that’s a matter of opinion just like finding your go-to perfume, but I guess we all agree that there’s nothing quite like a flicking flame to set the mood at home (Definitely something that I’ve been doing a lot during this Christmas break) especially when the evening start and we were spending a cosy time at the couch.
I’ve been loving the Glasshouse gingerbread house candle a lot, the fragrant really impress when it comes to the intensity of scent and burn time (If you are a candle addict like me you’ll understand that there’s nothing more annoying that one that doesn’t burn evenly) The bad point? It’s a limited edition so we can not get it again (hopefully next year) but for me it’s one of the best Christmas candles I’ve been enjoying so far, sweet, warming and gently spicy, and It’s still filling the rooms of my house with festive cheer.
Dose & Co, Vanilla Dairy-Free Collagen Creamer
If you know me, you probably know that my mantra is ‘prevention is smarter than a cure’ – For me starting adding collagen supplements to my skincare routine early is a must – Ideally from early-mid 20s – as I know my skin will thank me in my 30s, 40s and beyond! Or I hope so…
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with mixing adaptogens, plant-based protein powders into my morning coffee, just for an extra boost, however, the most successful thing I’ve tried lately is this Dose & Co collagen creamer, I like the vanilla flavour, it tastes really freakin’ good but if you don’t want to lose the real coffee flavour, you can also go for the unflavoured flavour.
It supports my skin, nails, and hair health and also somehow makes my coffee with almond milk taste creamier— I’m wearing my nails bare after the festive season as I wanted to give them a break and for the second time (after my clean manicure at Jocelyn Petroni) They’re long, strong and glistering with a natural sheer which I’m pretty happy about it.
ModelCo, LashXtend Tubing Mascara
I’m all about putting my confidence first, before the Zoom call or my dinner with the girls or whatever it is I’m doing— this new mascara really boosts my morale. I’ve been trying this new beauty since they launched a couple of months ago and basically, it has become the item that causes me to stand back as I’m putting on my makeup, thinking — Okay — things are not so bad after all… I like to combine it with a liquid liner —applied just at the outer top roots of my lashes — plus some concealer dabbed at the inner and outer corners.
If I’m feeling a bit sexy and French, I might wear this mascara and slip on a little lid tint in bronze for a smoky yet mysteriously transparent look; In case I’m feeling less than wide awake, I’d use my new flawless rose quartz face roller for ten minutes, concentrating on the eyes (marvellous, people).
