As beauty lovers we love a good Get Ready With Me but what about when it’s time to get our beauty sleep? Having a night routine is as important as hydrate our bodies with tons of water during the day.
We recently talked with nutritionist and wellnesspreneur, Georgia Forsyth, on how she gets undone and what her typical night routine looks like.

Q&A with Georgia Forsyth, Nutritionist and Founder of Cohere Studio
Q
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how are you doing during these uncertain times?
My name is Georgia Forsyth, I am a nutritionist and the founder of Cohere Studio. I wouldn’t say I am your ‘wholesome’ nutritionist. I like to bend the so-called health rules, which is why I started Cohere, a consultancy which bridges the gap between taboo and wellness whilst leaving behind all judgment.
During this fractured time, I am being gentle with myself, as I can only control the mayhem that I create around me. We are lucky as Sydneysiders to be able to have a small amount of normalcy in comparison to other cities.
As cliché as it sounds, just remaining grateful for the little things.
Q
How is your skin behaving lately?
Due to the cooler months, my skin has become increasingly dry, not to mention my heater has become an integral part of my day so that doesn’t help with the complexion. My skin crushes in summer so until then I am just trying to remain hydrated by moisturizing like no tomorrow and drinking gallons of water.
Q
Do you like to exfoliate your skin? If so, what do you use?
I exfoliate my body 2-3 times per week, using the yummy Bean Body coconut coffee scrub. It improves my skin tone by increasing blood flow and removing dead skin cells. The caffeine helps to stimulate dilation. Together it’s the perfect combo for reducing those preposterous cottage cheese reminiscent dimples that occasionally acquire real estate on my derrière.
Q
Any beauty ritual before going to bed?
My beauty ritual before bed is a timely one! My family and friends always jest at how long it takes me to hop into bed. I don’t wear a tonne of make-up so it’s just the usual femme ritual on that front. Washing the face and moisturising from head to toe.
Always eye cream and love me a bit of gua sha and facial cupping to keep the money maker in check. Then the pièce de résistance, magnesium oil. This is my absolute go-to before bed, I spray magnesium oil all over my body, focusing on any sore points that were put through the wringer after exercising, but especially the lower half of the body and soles of the feet, as this helps induce a deeper slumber. Magnesium oil is more readily absorbed topically rather than ingested – who knew?
Q
Any instant trick to sleep better?
As hard as it may seem, try switching off all electronics at least half an hour before bed. Steer especially clear of the gram, we’ve all fallen victim to its moreish allure as the clock strikes midnight and all hope of sufficient slumber is lost. The truth is electronic screens act as a stimulant to the brain, making it harder to mentally switch off long after the phone has, just think of all of those hours spent staring at the ceiling that could have gone towards beauty sleep. After you have achieved this, haul those legs up against the wall for 5 minutes, this will increase blood circulation and promote relaxation.
