Imagine a world where the hustle and bustle of life fade away, leaving you surrounded by Mother Nature. That’s exactly what I discovered last week at Logan Brae Retreats. Nestled just a 2.5-hour drive from Sydney, Logan Brae Retreats isn’t just another Airbnb destination; it’s a beautiful experience waiting to unfold.
Join me in this article as I take you on a journey to Logan Brae Retreats, recounting the moments and experiences that made my stay here so special. From the cozy fireplace to the jaw-dropping natural beauty, every aspect of my family time at Logan Brae Retreats was nothing short of amazing. So, get comfy, and let’s dive into adventure, where Australia’s stunning countryside and warm hospitality await the discovery.
First Impressions: A Breath of Fresh Air
Upon arriving at The Lodge (The cabin I stayed in) at Mt Kanimbla in the Blue Mountains, I was immediately struck by its charm and attention to detail. Tucked away amidst rolling hills and forests, The Lodge exuded an air of rustic elegance like nothing else.
But let me tell you, this place isn’t just charming; it’s packed with all the goodies you need for a perfect weekend with family or friends. They’ve got a cozy fireplace to snuggle up by, a refreshing swimming pool for those sunny days, and, believe it or not, a bathtub right in the middle of nature where you can soak while watching the stars. It’s like they’ve thought of everything and then made it an absolute dream getaway.
Something I also noticed was the feeling of fresh air, so I decided to start my day with a morning walk that was unlike any other – and yes, there were kangaroos in the mix, adding to the magic. Afterwards, I rolled out my yoga mat on the grass for a quick 30-minute session, followed by a refreshing dip in the pool. It was, without a doubt, the perfect way to kickstart the day before indulging in a lovely breakfast with my family.
The Lodge: A Home Away from Home
The accommodations at The Lodge were nothing short of spectacular. Each room had its own unique charm that exuded a cozy feeling, and the furnishings and tasteful decor were very well curated to harmonise seamlessly with the natural beauty of the surroundings. It was evident that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
I really loved the comfort of my bed, and though I wished my newborn would have allowed me a bit more sleep, I couldn’t help but relish the coziness and the quality of those bedsheets. Plus, in the evening, we enjoyed the pool table, which was a fantastic bonus, especially if you’re with other couples and friends.
As I mentioned before, it’s all about the little things, and the team at The Lodge certainly take care of everything. They even surprised us with a basket of goodies, including marshmallows, for a fireside treat. We couldn’t resist indulging in those marshmallows paired with a glass of wine under the starry night sky—it’s an absolute must-try experience.
Gastronomic Delights: Culinary Experiences to Savor
No retreat is complete without dining experiences, and The Lodge at Mt Kanimbla offer to every guest the possibility to add breakfast, lunch and dinner if desire for an additional cost.
While I personally didn’t have the chance to sample these dining services during my stay, I found it to be an incredibly convenient option, especially for families looking to completely disconnect and avoid the hassle of meal planning during their getaway.
Moments of Tranquility: The Spa Retreat
One of the cherry-on-top features of this retreat is the option to have your own personal masseuse right in the comfort of your own “home.” All you have to do is reach out to the Logan Retreats team, and they will arrange for their therapist to come to your doorstep, allowing you to unwind even further in the privacy of your in-house massage room. It’s truly a special treat.
My stay at The Lodge Brae Retreats was nothing short of magical. It was a short stay but enough to allow me and my family to reconnect with nature, unwind from the chaos of daily life, and savour moments of tranquillity.
If you’re looking for an escape that combines natural beauty, warm hospitality, and a touch of luxury, I really recommend booking at Logan Brae Retreats.
