If you’re not oily skin or prone to breakouts, I guess the goal for you is maintenance, right? Infusing skin with essential nutrients and minerals, as well as amino acids is always key plus a good cleansing and exfoliation — because dirt and pollution can irritate even the most unproblematic pores, causing skin texture — as is properly hydrating with good quality face masks like the Sisley Black Rose Cream face mask.

The Review
As soon as I’ve got my hands on it (after a big day at work) I head for a relaxing steamy shower, applying the mask once my pores feel good and open. Massaging the pink-toned cream on the blend of Black Rose, Padina Pavonica, and Alkekengi Calyx extracts — I love how luxurious it feels on the skin, the delicately scented is a dream and the consistency of the formula.
I like to leave it on for ten minutes to give the Black Rose and the rest of its powerful ingredients some time to work; because the combination of their key ingredients, each yielding a different effect really supercharges the skin (I am convinced that doing it in the steam of the shower makes my skin even glowier) but many people recommend leaving the black rose mask on overnight to allow it to sink in all the ingredients. As soon as I step out, I noticed how plumped, silky, and springy with hydration my skin is.
The verdict
The Sisley face mask quickly became a habit for me. The luxe tube now comes with me on staycations weekend excursions with friends, and hopefully, on my next trip overseas, it definitely seems that will be my next ally on a plane when the need to slough away that stale-air vibe and coax back my glow come back. It might be based on a luxe beauty treatment, but it’s now an at-least-once-a-week ritual—and truly, some weeks I use it even twice. The only downside? The $200 tag price.
It’s got the same beautifully earthy smell as fresh french rose, but delicately layered with essential oils). I’m in!
