Bespoke beauty has become a buzzword. Whether it’s a treatment made for pigmentation or to treat your hormonal acne, options for a custom beauty product has never been more readily available.
Dr. Clara Hurst and Dr. Deb Cohen-Jones, founders of The Secret, tells Caviar Feeling.
“To say the skincare industry is saturated is an understatement – there are a million and one products and skincare philosophies out there for confused consumers to navigate. But today’s consumers want simplicity and ease. Bespoke skincare services give them exactly this, with real, visible, long-lasting results.
Non-effective products disguised in pretty packaging just isn’t cutting it for consumers anymore. They want results, and the ingredients that really achieve these results can’t be found on regular retail shelves. Bespoke skincare makes these active ingredients available to everyone.”

Developed by Dr Clara Hurst and Dr Deb Cohen-Jones, The Secret is a prescription, individually customised skincare that targets the most challenging cosmetic skin conditions, like pigmentation, acne and even melasma, that achieve impressive results in real-time — you only need to go to their Instagram feed and check with your own eyes the impressive before and after photos — This derm researcher is the real deal. The exquisite attention to detail in both the packaging and ingredients really stands out for me.
“The Secret Skincare is a concept like no other – we saw a gap in the industry to curate a product that would perfectly complement each individual client, rather than try to squeeze them into a one-size-fits-all formula. We have worked closely with real patients on their skin journeys for years. Each patient lives different lifestyles with different skin behaviours, but they all have the same simple wants and needs from their skincare. We listened and created a skincare range and service founded on the fundamentals of simplicity, ease and effectiveness.
The Secret Skincare was designed to fit into your life – from the simple consultation process that can be done from the comfort of your own home to the personalised treatment plans curated to suit your lifestyle, your skin concerns and your skin goals. And it doesn’t just end there. Our team of skincare specialists and doctors nurture you through your Secret Skincare journey, so patients always have access to expert advice and support whenever they need.” Dr Clara Hurst and Dr Deb Cohen-Jones said.
How Does The Secret Skincare Work?
The Secret Skincare routine is designed to be super simple. It pretty much consists of three principal products (The Essential Set), which comes with the Cellular Repair Night Cream (The hero product that works to increase skins cell turnover at a rapid rate and encourage healthy skin cells to come to the surface while getting rid of damaged cells) the Day Brightening Elixir, and the Eye Serum.
First, you’ll need to fill up an E-detailed medical questionnaire or through Dr Hurst’s clinic or Sydney’s All Saints Clinics. Once choosing the best package that suits your skin concerns, your consultation will be reviewed by the Doctors, and your products will be whip up fresh just for you and sent straight to your door. Plus, you’ll get ongoing patient care throughout the skincare regimen.
On top of that, the packaging is made with almost zero waste, and the whole range is vegan, cruelty-free, parabens and sulphate free.
Are Prescription Ingredients Better?
The difference between prescription skincare is that the ingredients are often more potent and suitable for your skin needs than over-the-counter beauty products. Plus, you’ll always have a medical professional that recommends the proper treatment for you, meaning the chance to see results is higher.
The review
After four weeks of consistent use, my skin has never looked clearer; however, you need to be patient using the cellular repair night cream as the skin needs to get used to it. You might notice slight tingling or redness, but it goes away after a few days. Also, the zone around my chin was flaky the first days. This was expected, so it wasn’t a surprise for me.
By the end of week number two, I noticed a big change in my pigmentation and the compliments started to roll. I felt very confident without makeup and intrigued about how my skin will look after four weeks of use.
My jars are halfway, and I’m currently in week number four; my post inflammation hyperpigmentation is almost gone, and this is something that I’ve never thought I could achieve with skincare. If there’s a one-night product, I would recommend adding it to your routine — If you have skin concerns as pigmentation or cystic acne — Is the Cellular Repair Night Cream. It will make your skin infinitely better.
