There is a lot to be said for feeling confident and feeling your best. When you are feeling confident, you’ll have a positive outlook on life (which will help your mental health), you’ll have more self-belief and do better with your daily activities. The best example is to link confidence with sports – when a tennis player is feeling more confident, they are more likely to win their match, as they will be playing better.

So how do you feel more confident? The way you dress will have a big play on your confidence, having a good diet will help and so does practising positive self-talk. To help you feel more confident, we have put together our guide on feeling more confident below. Keep reading to learn more.

Dress to impress

A lot can be said for the way you dress. If you dress your best, you’ll naturally feel more confident when going out and often people will compliment you on what you are wearing. Wear your favourite women’s necklace, find a nice watch to match and wear your best outfit. If you need a little retail therapy, go out with your friends and do some shopping for a new outfit that you can wear the next day. Instagram or Pinterest is the place to look if you are after some fashion inspiration.

Look after yourself

Confidence can come from many places and one of those places is through looking after yourself. When you are eating bad foods, not drinking your 2 litres of water a day or getting enough sleep, you’ll find yourself feeling fatigued and unmotivated which in turn can affect your confidence. Reflect on your overall lifestyle and make some positive changes in order to feel more confident. In a lot of cases, you may not be aware that your lifestyle is having a negative impact on your confidence until you reflect on it.

Practise positive self-talk

Have you ever practised positive self-talk before? A lot of people haven’t even though it can really help your confidence. Essentially, you need to be positive whatever the situation is throughout the day as this helps promote a positive mindset. By being positive, it will affect other people in a positive way, helping their day be better. Just think, if you are in a room and everyone is being upbeat, happy and positive, that energy is passed on to everyone else. If you try to be negative in this surrounding, the negativity is ignored.

There are so many methods that you can use to help yourself feel more confident. The above is just a touch on the many techniques that you can apply to your day-to-day life. Do you have any tips that will help someone who is trying to feel more confident? Which of the above tips did you find most useful? Is there anything that you think is missing that we should add to our above guide? Let us know in the comment box below, we would love to hear from you.
